Not the ones with the expandable waist just plain stretchy backs! Have always bought Tesco before but at age 12 they seem to turn into non stretchy trousers!

www.sturdykids.co.uk/for-boys/plus-fit-school-trousers.html

I got my son trousers from here when he was 13 and I had the same problems. They are good.

Don't be put off by the plus fit bit, they do lots of sizes and ages, but they also do the half elasticated style you're looking for.

Yes, I'm just labelling up some M&S age 12-13 half elastic trousers Smile

They are the ones with the elastic on buttons for you to tighten iyswim, but the elastic is only on the back half.

Have the half elastic got a zip and hook?

Yes they do.

Also just found this website which might help Nicolapalmer1 - though I didn't check how size the fully elasticated trousers went up to.

Next jean style and cargo style are half elastic acted and adjustable and usually have simple poppers as fastenings. My two can both manage them.

Hi, not sure this is still of any help, but if you are still struggling, as I am to find the right trousers, www.sturdykids.co.uk definitely do the fully elasticated trousers, we have some and they are fine but my son is uber fussy and will not wear them. Note also that my son is not overweight, just near the top of the healthy weight, so unless your son is skinny, don't be put off looking.
