He told us a very funny story about vomiting into a lampshade which was offered to him by his teacher because she thought it was a bucket.
He has spent all the money we gave him; has bought some 'swaggy' sunglasses for himself and an even more 'swaggy' wallet.
He has grown a couple of inches and his voice has dropped slightly.
He bought us a blank postcard and has brought back a packet of Oreos for us (opened, half eaten).

I've sort of missed him. Smile

It was quite restful not treading on eggshells the whole time, not having to keep the younger three out of his way so he can revise 'IN PEACE AND QUIET PLEASE!" and there has definitely been less shouting while he was away.

He can be good company though, and is often hilarious, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not.

At least you got a postcard, even if not by post!

That's true. Although he hadn't actually got as far as writing it.

Maybe he was limited in his purchases because his German vocabulary isn't that extensive...

Loving the half-eaten packet of Oreos!

He did buy them as a present for us (are they a well-known Viennese delicacy?) but then got hungry on the plane on the way home.

PMSL at the lampshade story, sorry.

Just went to count how many Oreos there were to see if I could share them out after dinner; DH has eaten the lot. Didn't get one.

Well that takes the biscuit.

Ha ha! Mine was sick into a Pringles tube (empty!) on his trip Smile
His teacher was most impressed he managed to get it all in the tube without making a mess Grin

Aww - what a lovely thread.

(When DS, then 11 came home from a school activity week everything in his huge bag was damp, except his wash bag).
