thanks to everyone who's signed up so far....
We do do quite a bit aimed at parents of older children (teens) on MN already - eg the campaign about raising awareness of running away children and lots on internet safety as well as some exciting stuff coming up about finance/ work etc for older teens.
We'll send you info on new projects as well via the panel.

And (not that I am being defensive here of course..grin) there are lots of product tests relevant to all mums/ women/ parents - whatever their age wink]

grin flow
Well put.
I just filled in one of these questionnaires. It wanted responses to recent advertisers on MN. I am immune to adverts, never read them, never watch live tv so I always FF through the ads. Actually I think I have an ad blocker on here that was recommended on a MN thread.
I don't think my responses would be very helpful.

<wonders whether I should have lied in case only the good answers go in the prize draw.>

It's market research isn't it? So is really focused on 'marketing' not 'research'... And let's face it, parents of teens are a much less valuable market than parents of littlies - largely because teens themselves make many/most of the purchasing decisions. We're just the money supply, really, not actually the customers, innit! hmm Which is of course why companies target the teenagers themselves, and they get all the luffly bribes / -rewards presents!

Oh and because we are so ancient we are a lot more jaded and less easily duped by advertisers little more sceptical, so they don't reeeeally want to talk to us much... grin

Yes I think I signed up before and the surveys I have been sent are all very much targeted at younger parents with babies or small children.
Mums of teenagers are perhaps older than the average Mumsnetter, especially those like me who were older parents to start with.

I got 2/3 the way thru & got bored with it so aborted; convinced I'm going to receive loads of unwanted marketing info that will irritate me.

I think I've filled something like this in before too, and never heard a dicky bird. Is it because I wrote 'It might be a better outlet for my critical faculties than moaning about stuff in AIBU' in the last box?

But I think I did it once before and never heard any more?

Would you like to be on Mumsnet's research panel (if you're not already)? At the moment, we're especially keen for parents of teenagers and pre-teens to join.

You can sign up here - this has a Q&A about the panel - but in short if you join we'll send you via email surveys and product tests to take part in AND there's (nearly) always a great incentive on offer for your views.

Any questions please ask!
