Help! 14 yo DS has turned into a teenage GIRL

Not quite so drastic as it sounds- he isn't having a sex change!

We are getting the tempers, the shouting, the arguing that I expected to get from DD (and didn't). We start the day with an argument and it gets worse from there.

We bought him a puppy for his birthday (that he'd begged for) and he's got no patience with it at all. He knew what having a dog entails (we've had 3 since he's been around) and we'd told him how much work was involved but he seems to spend his time screeching at the poor thing and flying off the handle.

I'm assuming this is hormones but it's getting us all down. I've tried ignoring, shouting back, sending to room, and laughing. Nothing works. The two older boys didn't do this and it's the sort of behaviour I remember from when I was 14, with the obvious difference that I was a girl....

Anyone been through this and can offer any suggestions? (& yes I know it could be much much worse, but this one was always the easiest of all the children and missed out the toddler tantrums)

accept that boys can be hormaonal too if he thinks youthink he is a girl it will make him feel even more hurt and upset. Is there something bothering him or is he having trouble getting to griops with who he thinks he is and how peopel respond to him,

I don't think so. I've asked him and he says there isn't anything bothering him. School seems to be OK and he's got a lot of friends.

sounds normal to me!!!
Boys and girls have a lot to go through, hormonal as well as peer pressure etc. Boys need to become men and its difficult for them to deal with. My eldest is almost 15 and on the whole lovely, but we had mood swings temper tantrums aggression towards the younger ones!
There is light at the end of the tunnel and be thank ful its now and not at 16!!!
I could deal with ds when he was my size, now at almost 15 he towers above me and would laugh if i sad go to your room...how would i inforce it!!!
