Asthma nurse told us to phone for dd as soon as she gets a high temp. Not sure if this is because she reacted badly asthma wise to a virus a few weeks ago, or whether its standard advice for all asthma kids with possible swine flu. Because of the cough I'd phone, gp picked up on the fact dds asthma was flaring before we did.

both my dds (3 and 6) very similar, asthma-wise, but are on preventers. I would phone, think you're doing the right thing - good luck!
