Academic advice in schools and careers related learning

Hello Mumsnetters! As a parent to two, soon to be three little people their future and specifically their education is of the greatest importance to me. So much so that two years ago I changed direction and began work as an educational consultant. There is a huge issue in education regarding the provision of quality advice surrounding their options (academically) and work preparedness. The schools say the are doing all this but Ofsted, the LEAs, the DfE, the Sutton Trust and crucially employers disagree.
