Did Lindamood Bell improve your DC's working memory deficit?

Has anybody's DC attended a Lindamood Bell course to improve their working memory? Did your DC's working memory improve? Potential Plus assessed that DS is G&T but also has a poor working memory. This is adversely affecting his school life and performance. Although he is is amongst the top handful of students at his pre-prep, the school's SENCO has ignored us and the only "professional" advice we have received is to use the enormously expensive computer based memory training programmes such as CogMed which can only be assessed via an educational psychologist (the randomised controlled studies on its efficacy are mixed) or Jungle Memory computer training programme (which did not work for DS and there are no randomised controlled studies on its efficacy). DS' teacher has complained about DS' poor attention and ability to follow instructions in the classroom. Lindamood Bell was recommended to us by the parents of a high achieving DD who had reading difficulties when she was young. I have read very mixed reviews about Lindamood Bell from parents of DC diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia and have low attainment. I would like to hear about the experience of any DC with average-high school attainment that have attended Lindamood Bell. Did the programme work for your DC?

Never heard of it and your op reads like an ad! You need an ed psych report first and foremost.

LIZS an ed psych has already assessed DS. I'm interested in the feedback of parents with high achieving DC as their SEN are often overlooked.

Pardon me! Tbh most of these so-called specialists use standard methods and exercises but at vastly inflated costs. A friend's ds did Dore (before it went under) which comprised same as ds' nhs OT.

BlueShark did Lindamood Bell and really rated it (search her posts)

Have you tried cutting out gluten? That did enormous things for my DCs working memory.

PM me and I can tell you more.
