Rent a womb

I was diagnosed with womb cancer and have heartbreakingly just had a hysterectomy to remove it. Being childless but always wanting a family, it was the hardest decision I have had to make so far in life. I live in hope that I will realise my 'mummy dream' one day soon with the help of a surrogate, and I now feel ready to move onto this stage of my dream and start looking.

I still have my ovaries, and hope to start egg retrieval when my op recovery is complete and put 'some embryos on ice'. I would love to hear from anybody who has gone through this process, and is happy to share their experience and tips on the best way to turn our dream into reality, and likewise for any surrogates, it would be great to hear your experiences too.

Thanks

I'm sorry for all you've been through.

I am a second time surrogate - insomnia keeping me awake at the moment, 3 weeks to go.

Try COTS or surrogacy uk or search for Surrogacy groups on Facebook, they'll all be closed so you'll have to 'apply' to join.

Also FYI I find the term you've used offensive "rent a womb".

You might feel different after you've actually done it.

Trust me, it's offensive to us.

Ladies, she's just had a hysterectomy. Cut her some slack. It's likely black humour to see her through and I'm sure she meant no offence.
