Fleece - outdoor hutch?

Can you use fleece in an outdoor guinea pig hutch and if so presumably you use a lot of hay on top in the bedding area? I've always just used hay and newspaper. Never had experience of fleece before so would appreciate some advice. Would you put it in all the living areas or just the sleeping compartment? Thank you!

I had a love/hate relationship with fleece .
It is a 'mare to clean .The wee wicks through if the fleece is rough , plush fleece doesn't IME
The droppings shake off but the hay sticks .

I got a couple of those animal washbags . The detergent goes in the bag (I used Ecover liquid) then I hung them out after washing so the debris blew away .

I've used it in the floorspace of the C&C indoors.
Or if one of my pigs wasn't allowed hay bedding ( eye injury or similar) if the had hay in loo roll tubes or solid ( you still get hay on the fleece though)

My rodenty types would always go for hay . If I gave them a huge space and a cardboard box of hay , they'd cram themselves into the hay every time .
Hay on newspaper was their best option.
