Has anyone bought one yet? I’m tempted but given it’s a mystery I’m not sure if it will be a waste of money!

Have a look at //www.snooziescozies.co.uk or HayPigs on Facebook for guinea pig present ideas

Thanks fortified, I’m just interested in what’s actually inside the pets at home package 😊

Is it the £9 one?
There's an image of contents but also a disclaimer that it might not be the same (handy)

There's a PetBed (that you;d need to wash every blardy day 'cos they are manky critters). I bought a little petbed when I had my first boars , it stunk after 2 days. Best one for them was a plastic oval one lined with paper+hay .
A couple of tubes (cardboard) that might not fit depending on the animal (its advertised as a rabbit/guinea parcel)
2 wooden toys (mine would ignore)
and a nettle/seed Christmas tree shaped treat .

I think my piggies would play with the box Xmas Grin . You'd be better buying seperate (the reviews are a bit meh.

I bought mine a rabbit tunnel (they like to cram themselves in together and need passing room)
I buy them parsley bells (they have a loop to hang them so keeps them cleaner)
Last year they got a Meadow Turf ( a cardboard box with a slab of dry turf) that they really enjoyed (yes they poohed on it too)

While I'm on a P@H rant , they do seem to sell the image of guinea-pigs as clean almost sanitised pets. Their cages instore (the perspex tanks) are immaculate (hats off to them) but IRL these little animals love nothing more than rummaging about in hay and cardboard, leaving their mess where they will, tipping up the food bowls and letting yo find a piece of half chewed carrot hiding somewhere .
So when thse animals end up on Gumtree etc, I wonder if the parents are horrified by the mess? My 2 live in the small bedroom for winter , we put tarpaulin over the carpet under the cage . We clean in bare feet to stop it sticking to our socks ...yet still their debris creeps down the hall. (Luckily they don't mind me vacuuming round them)

Mine had the Meadow Turf last year and enjoyed sitting on it whilst eating and pooing on it.

They are of the opinion that Parsley Bells are a necessity rather than a treat and we buy more than one at a time from Poundstretcher

Yes! So if the bed is included I’m in, but if not I’m not! I just want to know what’s in it 😂

I’ve never bought mine a parsley bell- they literally refuse any treat that isn’t fresh veg. On one hand I’m super-vegan but I love steak - proud. But in the other hand I wish they’d accept some synthetic treats and be done with it 😂

Guinea-pigs' bottoms+ anything fleece is setting yourself up to be permenantly loading the washing machine. My babies have two fleece blankets on the floor of their run and a half fleece in their sleeping box - I seem to be washing these flipping things all the time (though IRL its every other day ) to keep up the wash/dry/replace cycle.

Our GP1 used to follow DD round the cage when she had a Strawberry Cornetto Chester says it's good to share Wink

V true, but I have a fleece cuddle cup that they popcorn for whenever it’s out the wash so I can’t resist buying them this shit 😂
