Who looks after your Guinea Pigs when you go on holiday?

We moved a few months ago so I don't know many people here. I've asked a few of the dc's friends if they would look after them for pocket money etc but no takers.

We are going away for 2 weeks and I have 2 lovely boy GPS.

I'm reluctant to go via the social
Media networks as I don't really want to advertise House will be empty.

Are there GP hotels? Any suggestions as to finding reliable care for them?

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions but if you happen to be in the Somerset area then we would happily look after them?! We have two piggies ourselves Smile

There are small animal boarding places. An internet search should find one near to you. They do get booked up though so fingers crossed. Expect to pay upto £10 per day for 2 pigs and usually you provide their dry food.

I've found a boarding place 20 miles away and will call them tomorrow. Thank you.

We are in south Kent but thank you!

So glad you've potentially found somewhere.

Our piggies go on holiday with us Blush wse go to BIL in Norfolk.

However, I came to give a (light-hearted) word of warning, sometimes the girls next door look after the piggies (overnight etc). This resulted in them inadvertently being the stars of a birthday party (think numerous excited 8 year old girls.) We've since then had many visits from the local children to see and cuddle the piggies. They even got party invites through the door!!
When Mollie died DH had to go round the cul du sac to tell all the children. We did think we were going to have to hold a state funeral but luckily it didn't come to that.

GrinGrin

We are going to Spain and I don't think the boys would like it there too much. Nice idea for a uk holiday though.

I've found a lovely GP hotel that is enroute to the airport. Massive relief.
