HELP Guinea pigs escaped in garden

Our Much loved Guinea pigs have escaped from their outdoor pen in our summerhouse they are quite shy and are hiding in a pile of old branches brambles etc they probably wont go hungry this time of year so we can't use food to lure them, have placed their cage near whereabouts we Think they are, hoping the scent of Home Will attract Them Any ideas?

DD says you'll need to try and get them out, block any exits and cut your way in. Don't want to leave them out, they may be caught by wild animals

YY - corall them in with whatever you can lay your hands on to make an enclosure round their hiding space.
Put their hutch or a cardboard box full of hay (dirty hay if you can it;ll have their smell) inside the boundary.

Stay with them and try to persuade them by whatever means to can, (be careful if there;s brambles you don't want them being scratched) but you can use a blunt end brush handle to 'prod' at them and gently push them forward.

The foxes will be out this time of year. You're piggies would probably try to hide by instinct but they are vunerable little rodents, not as wild as they like to think.

We caught one in their own Hut this morning she was wet and scared, No sign of her sister though we will keep trying of course, the area they are hiding in is entirely too large to confine or block all exits

Parsley or celery leaves? They're quite scented so if she's around they might tempt her out.

Can you leave the one you found outside to encourage the other in? Ours wheek madly when separated so that might do it.

We tried leaving her in the cage near where we found her this morning
but it's very wet outside and she just hid silently in her house

Thanks for the update, that's great news. TBH I didn't expect a happy ending when I saw your garden pic. Did piggy come out into the open or did you wade into the shrubs David Bellamy style

DH saw her on the lawn in the other end of the garden, she hid in some shrubbery, but we put the cage with her sister out near where she was and made a trap with carrots as bait, then DH hid behind a stack of firewood and was able to release the trap when she was under it, she's not hurt and wasn't overly hungry, but thankfully couldn't resist carrots
