Docile, laid back gp3 was sitting on DD's knee and decided to jump off the chair and landed on the patio. He's now got two very wobbly front teeth which are bleeding so we're off to the vet. That's the easter holiday entertainment budget spent no doubt.

Daft pig is chattering his teeth every time we touch him now so we've had to put him back in the cage so he doesn't hurt himself more.

Oh how unlucky. Worth a trip to the vet to check no broken bones or internal injuries but for teeth the vet won't do very much. Guinea pig teeth grow constantly. I had one who broke his teeth off twice as in didn't learn from the first time gnawing the bars of his hutch trying to get to the lady piggies. The vet might give him a shot of Metacam pain relief just to be on the safe side.

Whilst piggy's teeth are re-growing you may have to grate his veg or cut into matchsticks. My Old Boy became rather spoilt and expected his veg chopped/slice/grated into tiny pieces well after his teeth had grown back. Vet basically told me my piggy was demanding special treatment because I was being a mug. He got his veg in large chunks after that. He soon realised special treatment had ended and ate normally again grin

No harm done, just pain relief. The teeth survived and he's not hurt himself inside according to the x Ray.

X-ray, bet that was expensive.

Naughty piggy tell him eating hay and grass does not make him a race horse. He will not be entered into the Grand National so no more jumping! wink

Glad it was nothing serious.

Oh, poor love, I bet you were a mix of "Nooooo poor piggie" and "Daft little swine what 'you do THAT for ? "

He might well lose his teeth , our GP1 lost his a couple of times.

Chopped up food, keep an eye on him.
Guineas have 99 lives so mine tell me wink

He's now lost his teeth but he is eating the normal food 😀
