our little girl 'sings', she lives in the dining room with three other girls and a bun but oreo is the singer, everyone stops what they are doing to listen whilst she thrills.
we've had around 60 gps in the past, [ran a small rescue centre] and have only had one other singer, it it is so unusual to hear. feel really lucky to have her doing her chirping song does anyone else having a singing piggie ?

My don't
< glares at my two pathetically wheeking for breakfast>
How wonderful, if they are more likely to sing if they live in a herd rather than as a pair? As Mollie and Sadie spend their time glued to one another's side, they just rumble at one another
I love the idea of singing 🐹🐹

I wonder if it is more likely with a herd ...

How amazing! An you video it and put it on YouTube and put the link to it on this thread? I had no idea that piggies could 'sing'

One of my last pair was a singer - drove me round the bend as it was LOUD and only tended to happen in the early hours Angry. I thought it was a bird for ages until I went into the room and caught her at it!

No, I'm very Xmas Envy ......and one of my piggies is also called Oreo

Many years ago, I had "Singers" - one was very very pg and sounded like a trapped bird, very scary.
Then next time she stood at the bars with her head up and chirped.
Next one was also a MumPig (pg when we got her) who sang nicely.

My present herd are neutered boar+ 2 ex breeders and 2 sows who are piglet-les.

None of them sing Xmas Hmm

They do, however, wheek in harmony. I fed them today and they managed to get a 2nd Breakfast by lying to DD "We're staaarved, SheDevil didn't feed up"

Just found this thread again:

One of mine chirped , I have no idea which one.
I had travelled overnight (bus) from my DParents, doing loads of laundry, had to drive DS somewhere and was waiting for DD to come home to take GP5 to the vet (on the day we sent her to The Bridge)

I could hear chirping but didn't twig because there's a very very irritating clock in my DParents house which does 'birdsong' noises instead of dingdonging. You can see why its irritating , yes.
I heard the chirp and thought "Bloody clock" until I twigged, slipped upstairs and the noise...stopped.
GP5 was sitting there, not sure she had the urge to sing but I've not heard it since (or before) from this group.

Some owners say its a distress sound ? None of mine were stressed at the time. (Though obvs GP5 wasn't at her level best)
