Piggies in Oxfordshire

I want to get 2/3 piggies for my daughter, some time in the next few months. I've had them in the past, but always from pet shops Blush. This time I'd like to go either reputable breeder or rescue.

I've been keeping an eye on the local rescue but they don't seem to get many in. Does anyone have any knowledge of guinea pigs in Oxfordshire / Cotswolds?! Don't really know where to start!

Have you looked at the Blue Cross? They have a centre in Burford and another in Lewknor. I often see guinea pigs on their website.

The Burford Blue Cross is where I have been looking, they don't seem to have piggies that often!

Not sure how old they are, but we are pretty flexible with when they could arrive.

Are you planning on a herd like 70 or a pair?

Awwww those Himalayans Grin are gorgeous .
Though I have to admit, I wasn't looking for white guineas and I didn't even have a name on the list when I got GP5
Himmys are fabulous but not sun lovers.
Now she (GP5) is the only non tricolour we have so she's unique.

East to have a Herd you need a "Bert". Wink
Ours are collectively known as "Bert and the Herd" (previously Bert'n'the Girls)

Watching this space Bears to see news of the new piggies

Am only getting 2 or possibly 3, depends on their numbers! Would love a herd but we used to have a rat herd (12!) and DP says never again! Grin
