What rabbit hutch

I have a bit of an emergency. We moved today and our rabbit hutch got dated beyond repair in the move. Short term it has been sorted as our lovely vet has taken her in as a day boarder u til new hutch is sourced.

However I had intended to buy a eglu hutch until I fell over a old for thread that asked about this and the responses were all negative.

As it is very expensive I am now put off spending that much money. However what hutch would be good? She is currently in a chicken coop that's 2 meter long with room for her to stand but I don't feel it works to great for her
Also she is a digger and I worry she will dig out under her (another reason I liked the eglu idea as it has netting beneath)
Could put chicken wire or similar down?
I know there is a for for this and I will post there too just I am obviously in short supply of time as Snuffster can't stay with vet indefinitely

I have put this in chat too for traffic

Hiya, Have a look at the RWAF website for ideas of what is suitable for rabbit hutches as its very easy to get it very wrong with bunny welfare. You need a minimum of a 6ftx2ftx2ft hutch with an attached run so your bunny gets a a good daily amount of exercise and doesn't stress. I have to say to keep a bunny really happy you really need to two of them but have a look at the website its a great start. x

.... There is always the option of indoor bunnies too but I'm no expert in that. Maybe a temporary idea until the hutch set up arrives (RWAF for indoor tips too).

She whilst at the vets is being sorted and intention is for a 2nd friend to join her. First she has to get past her operation.

I am aware of the sizing needed (will admit not until after her first cage. This then got replaced) what I have found difficult is to find places that sell this.

I did however find a good run after extensive research last night and a hutch so this is now ordered. Rabbit is going to be very happy as will have even more space than before. In a week or so she is going to a "rabbit dating service " to get a friend join her.

Indoor is not a possibility as not permitted
