Happy Got'cha Day GP6 (that's Guinea-Pig)

This time last year we welcomed our new boar Bert (GP6) into the lives of our sows who were okay but a bit quiet and obviously missing a boar to boss about after GP3 died.

The Rescue owner said she'd miss him because he was a friendly little boy and very noisy, first to shout for food.
He has carried out his Job Description to the Letter.
Wheek for food, loudly.
Keep the girls cuddled at night for warmth and company.
Prowl, rumble and be noisy, because he can and that's what boars do Grin

DD adores him (she has GP6 and GP4) , I have GP5.
She gets a rash on her face and neck when she cuddles him, but it doesn't stop her.

They'll have a special supper tonight and if DD remembers her iPad , some pictures.

Congrats to Bert on his special day and surviving a year of being hen-pecked! Bet he still can't believe his luck at the luxury he landed in at the 70 house (even if the grass isn't hand cut for him quite as often as he'd likeWink

Grin we keep telling him he's landed on his paws (DD is very savvy with boars and their strange little ways), he's very spoiled.

Before he came to live with us, he was with his brother, so having two ladies was a complete turnaround.
And grass..........on Saturday I was out with the scissors to get a huge plateful.

Saturday! You do realise it's now Tuesday - they'll be staaarvingGrin.

My boys would love to live with you as their slave neglects to cut fresh grass for them. This morning they had to make do with a huge pile of fresh parsley.

Actually, they've made a formal request to move in with you 70 as they were snowed on this afternoonShock

Slave put them in their run - it was sunny and warm. Half an hour later it was snowing and slave didn't notice immediately!!!! By the time they were brought in, Gingerpig had snowflakes on his back. Scruffy was fine as he was asleep in his igloo and hadn't noticed.
