Ok so the guinea pigs have cuddles, but I'm fed up of washing clothes after they've had a wee!! What are the warning signs? GP 3 doesn't seem to have any, he just gets you wet!

Very subtle signs and they tend to be different (well I didn't claim I was going to be any help Wink )

GP1 and GP4 (both large smooths) were/are good bladder holders. GP4 will pee copiously as soon as she gets into the cage, GP1 used to save his to 'mark' the fresh paper. He was a 'stampy stampy dance dance' piggie

GP3 was a 'shuffle my bum back a bit' but if we missed it, he peed . I used to think he was trying to escape, catch him before he wriggled backwards off my lap, get glared at and peed on.

GP5 has only peed once (on DH Grin ) when she was in season

GP2 was the only guinea to fall asleep on my shoulder so he used to dream wee

I don't know if towel wrapping encourages them to pee though, maybe it was when we first got them they were more nervy and unsure anyway?

Our two much-loved belated gps used to raise their heads up in a sort of jerky movement when they needed to pee. It's not easy to spot at first but you get used to the signs!!

I give the DC an old towel to put on their laps when holding them. Much easier to chuck in the wash if they wee.

Think I need to always remember a towel!

I find a towel doesn't work. Sows tend to shoot wee backwards and so misses a towel.

DD1 got Millie's revenge on Monday. DD1 was sprawled out on the sofa making Millie work reach up for parsley. Millie got judgey, walked down DD's legs and fired a wee back at her. The wee sprayed DD's ipad and her jeans.

I laughed was my usual sympathetic self i.e. not at all. Just at that moment DD2 arrived home from friend's house she's never been to before accompanied by the girl and her mother. What a first impression Hmm Grin Bet the mum thinks we are a mad house. DD1 ranting for disinfectant in her knickers and me casually explaining, Oh its ok the guinea pig just wee'd on the ipad.
