Or rather my dogs did, on walk this morning by the river. Very cute, small with long floppy ears. Currently bunny hopping round the garden and eating dandelion leaves.
Am completely clueless about rabbits. I've posted on a local forum and been asking around, not sure what else to do.

Sadly it may have been abandoned, someone I knew who had links with an animal charity told me that people get fed up of them and release them into the wild thinking they can fend for themselves. I would contact a local rescue and see if they could take it in for now.

I'm glad you've rescued it and not left it as many people do. Phone round a few rescues or the RSPCA and let them know. Sadly so many buns are abandoned.

Some, however, are little houdinis and do escape from gardens. Owners missing pets would normally put up posters and contact local rescues in case their bun is handed in. Hope the poor little thing is okay and what lovely dogs you have not to chase it.

Thanks for replies. Yes, I've heard about people getting fed up with pet rabbits and chucking them out into the wild. But, because of the area I found it in more likely just escaped and some kids are really missing him/her.
Have contacted the RSPCA as owner might phone them, I said I'll knock on doors/ do leaflet drops locally today and they'll collect rabbit tomorrow if owner doesn't turn up.
