We had this!! I got 2 young females as we didn't want guinea pig babies either, turns out both were girls but one was already with children!

She had 3 healthy babies, we took her to the vet when we realised she was pregnant, like you both pigs were growing but one grew 'saddle bags' and you could feel the babies by the time we got to the vets she was almost ready to give birth and did so about a week later.

You can get males neutered but its dangerous, we got the only male baby neutered when he was about 6 months old but he chewed his own stitches and died.

Oh and having read your other thread if you look at girls lady bits they should be shaped like a 'Y'

Also had this as a child. Got a boy guinea pig as a gift but then he had babies and changed his name to Daisy. Unfortunately we gave two of the same sex to a friend of my Nan and same happened again!

They are really hard to gender!

how adorable are baby pigs? My girls were only 6ish weeks when we got them and they were so sweet!

I know they were too cute, I couldn't believe they came out as little independent mini guinea pigs!

I had no idea one of my two girls was pregnant until we found a little hamster sized creature running round on the grass two hours after they had been put in their run. Couldn't figure out how it had got in there at first.
