AAAAAW - they are black and white girls

They are gorgeous and looks like they have lots of hidey places and fun things to do!! Including reading a 'sensible' paper to get their daily news.

A couple of weeks back people asked for pics of Alice, our new rescue bunny!

In the pic with dd2, she's holding the late, great Speedie MacReadie, our former rabbit who died recently of old age. He's buried under a special "Speedie Tree" - a weeping Willow (because of his lop ears) with very soft grey pussy-willows like his fur!

When DD leaves her hogs on hard floor, they sit there, motionless , like little squashed frogs , until they can leap onto her lap.

Ours are happy in the kitchen, especially if there's kale, parsley and spinach!

In my guinea pic, the very large ginger one and mainly black/white one are Sosua and Cabarete, they're sisters and about 3. The all black is Chiquita, around 2, as is the all white Palma. Not related but best friends. The two teenies are (top) Guigliamo (known as Gwigly) and bottom is Frosinone (called Frozzy). Both around 1 now. Sisters.

We have a tradition of calling our guineas after places. In the past we've had a Sahara, Alaska, Tobercurry (in Ireland), Prestwick and Findo (small Perthshire village). This was after we ran out of famous Celtic monks in our breeding phase!

70 - my pigs cope wonderfully with hard floors and will run on them happily if no alternative is given . Current Bun will run on the hard floor in the conservatory but is like Bambi on ice in the kitchen - both floors are the same . He is currently undergoing training - it's time he learnt something (previous bun understood lots of commands). He now knows 'please' and is finally responding to his name - only taken him 2.5 years.

My pair of boars, Dougal & Marvin. They've grown a bit since this was taken, must be all that lettuce & parsley & spinach & celery. Marvin is boss pig but Dougal is the most vocal and has the loudest "wheeeeep".

RockinHippy. I have your cat's twin brother! He tolerates the pigs in a "oh, so I can't eat them, I can't play with them, pftt" way. I've never met another grey & white cat before.

70 we did have a few fights last spring when they had just turned 1 and I did think we would have to separate them but I think it was hormones and spring fever they settled down when I increased their space and added plenty of hidey holes they are in a 5ft double hutch with 8x4ft run permanently attached run fully covered so they have access whatever the weather. We just have the usual rumble strutting they are two next month I find as long as I keep their hutch and run filled with lots of activities and hide food in things like cardboard tubes to keep them occupied they are happy.

These are my two bunnies when I bonded them in September Merlin is the blue broken butterfly and Merida the harlequin she is 1 on Monday and merlin will be 2 in June.

Ours have their proper names and an assortment of nicknames. It doesn't matter what we call them, they don't listen

These are nice fresh photos of my boys (photos are considerably fresher than the boys - think it's bathtime). Scruffy is posing with Smooth's rear end just to show how hefty it is.

Poor Scruffy is in danger of losing a couple of hours of daylight there, stuck behind Smooth's rump

It's a large rump and is useful as a windbreak . Scruffy is pleased you like his hairstyle - he spends ages tunnelling in hay just to get it to stick up like that.

Very cute Sleeping - I'm not going to show this photo to my boys as they are outside having to pick their own grass at the moment. They'd be very jealous at your girls having someone pick it for them.

GP1 and GP3 are grazing while their Pighouse is cleaned ( at the moment it's empty and the Aroma de Boar is wafting out through the window.

They don't mind cutting their own fodder, they are magnificent and wild.
GP1 is being all lion-ey. GP2 is being all water-vole~esque.
Either that or they are auditioning for those RSPCA adverts:
"Poor piggies. Uncaring, bad owner. Left to fend for themselves"
GPs desperately hide their rather portly bellies and apply a Daily Mail Sad Face

And they're throwing some shapes (popcorning) round the lawn.

A couple of photos of mine. Sweetie is the girl who likes to scare the bejesus out of me, Rebel the black/white Dutch and Pepe the boy with blue ears, sort of Himalayan, but not... They're newishly bonded.
