Hi all, have had such a lovely morning - was put in touch with a neighbour up the road who has two boars, and have been round to meet them all - the mum was a fabulous friendly lady who let me cuddle her boys, feed and coo to them, and it was lovely to have them for a little while to hear them chattering. Rewarded for all my efforts by being wee'd on ( naturally!). I am now an official guinea aunt! Offered my services for any guinea duties, and they are near enough to visit whenever convenient..... I now have some guineas to save all my greens for.....

Smile and the end knobs of cucumber.

How is your garden coming along? Any chance you could squeeze a piggy in of your own? On the Rodents with attitude forum a member is unfortunately having to re-home her boars Sad. She is in Sussex I think but people are willing to guinea pig train them to anywhere in the country.

Hi Fortified - ta for message... hope you and your girls are out enjoying this lovely sunshine - those two boys I have just watched devoured every blade of grass in sight - it has been long time coming for them to get outside.

Really wish I could help with the rehoming :( - realistically any guineas would have to be indoor ones at the moment, and it is just not possible with my son. I have cleared the front, but it is too steep and stoney really for a lawn so am now eyeing up turfing some of the back - it is such a small courtyard garden and I have just realised the beautiful purple shrub growing massively by the back door is actually deadly nightshade< eeek!>, so any guineas would just be on slabs( no room in tiny shed and no garage now) and next to a poisonous shrub. I haven't given up hope yet tho' and having access to some borrowed ones has really lifted my spirits.

Can we put up a post here about the ones needing a home?

Grin being pee'd on is a badge of honour (though boar pee is quite pungent I have to say)

No doubt the Speshull Raincoat with the huge pockets will be out soon...Wink

It's good you can be a guinea pig Auntie Guineapiglet. Too bad your garden is not suitable for some of your own Sad.

I think the person re-homing her boars wants them to go to a forum member or someone a member can recommend. So I don't think posting an open thread wouldn't be welcomed.

Sorry that last sentence didn't make sense. I meant, I don't think posting an open thread would be welcomed.
