Most of you who know me will know that I've had lots of female guineas when I was a child/teen and a little boar who didn't make his second birthday (tragic case of bullying by his wifey) 
My DD got 2 lovely boars last year who are now 2 yo.
The smooth is a lovely big chunky boy. I noticed yesterday that the tip of his penis is sticking out just a bit more than usual.
It's not in danger of catching on anything, he walks round with his rump, belly clear of the ground, and deposits healthy glossy droppings in his wake (so no impaction).
But they have deep hay so I'm aware that could irritate.
When we took them to the rodentologist for a check, she fully extended their bits (gentle pressure) . We do this when we wash them, but of course they haven't been bathed for a while due to the weather. (They have a bum dip/grease gland wash last month).
I can appreciate they will get a bit saggy with age and gravity 
.
I'll give his royal pigginess a quick bath tomorrow (he gets the greasespot clag, GP2 never does) and clean to make sure there's no problem. It doesn't look inflammed, he's peeing fine (I saw him ). Then get him to put it away.
He did have a couple of tiny cysts when he had his check up.
It might be time for him to revisit (so that I don't get the Evil Moods) the Rodentologist.
I did have a quick Peter Gurney google but got to the bit about 'excitement' and thought "Dear lord, don't tell me he's trying to bonk his brother"
I got the impression (I hope) that Pete G was talking about it "all hanging out".

I've just noticed it when DD picked him up t'other day.
It's only just a bit but I thought "Oooh, is this the start of him turning into a low-slung , old codger?"
I've got no hot water at the moment (blinking central heating 
) so his bath will need to wait till Sunday.
Might be some stuck hay ? (Easier to deal with than the thought of him bonking his cage mate)
Maybe a cold water bath is a good idea....
I asked DD1 about this and got a face from her. She then said, "It's just one of those things. One day it might look like it's sticking out a bit, then one day it'll just have tucked back up."
It's definitely not a prolapsed penis as one of ours had this (it was almost fully stuck out) and DD had to help it back in with some warm water and a cotton bud, having cleaned it and given him a cool bath to try and reduce the bit of swelling that had occured due to him dragging it along the ground...outside...through the grass and dirt silly piggie
Just check to make sure it's not looking inflamed or irritated.
Honestly, the things --DD's- we've been through and had to do since having boy pigs!
it's only a tiny bit of the joy that is boars - Gp1 is much boarier than his brother.
He does the marking, the prowling round every box when the Pighouse is cleaned, the wiping his bum on things, the GreaseSpot. (Is that enough to put you off)
GP2 does none of these.
I did a quick check when I cut their nails yesterday and he was back to "normal" for him. (Maybe he was worried what I was going to do with those huge nail clippers)
DoesIt I remembered your boar was the one who tried his luck with one of his cagemates and got stuck. That's why when I read the Peter G site I was

GP1 had loose hairs stuck in his 'nads.
DD was "Mother how could you" as I pulled them free.
I was making sure they weren't attatched to skin (ouch!)

Don't even mention "boar glue" DD has had to clean up three of her boys more than once because one of the others had been a bit fruity.
I was blissfully ignorant of it until she exclaimed one day, "I hope guinea pig jizz comes out in the wash!" as she had picked up one of them not realising he had a sticky bum and ended up with it on one of her favourite tops. In fact, I rather wish she'd never tell me when it happens as it squicks me out. She just gets on with it though.
I came back to find this thread ... yesterday DD said to me "Mum, GP1 has got something on his fur, can you pick it off. It's stuck"
It was on his belly (near his 'nads) and was waxy and white (I don't think he's got any candles down in the Pighouse. I'm all for ambience but there's hay in the House)
I picked it off, nothing more thought.
Then DH noticed he had some on his chin
I thought, 'oh maybe something he's eaten? Sweetcorn?' The cob 'oozes' white liquid when they've eaten it.
Then I remembered the Boar Glue on this thread.

What has put you off impaction, cauliflower willie, mindless squabbling, refusal to SHARE, boar glue, airing their bollocks in the garden on a fine day, pee marking, the boary smell male guineas?
They are lush

My parents were more obsessed than I was! It's a good 5-10 min video! This was about 10 years ago.
We have a different pair now (and a LOT in between....moment of silence for the lost pigs) and I'm worried about having left them....they're over four and still glossy but lazier and lazier.....

BigPig has dived into his fresh hay pile (that i piled neatly in one corner ) and is now scurrying round with the whole pile covering him. He looks like a mini walking haystack .
Me thinks he thinks he's invisible!

YY greasespots -GP2 doesn't have one but GP1 practically had a tail when his was manky (Called for a bum-dip and hairdryer session)
My DD brought the hogs through for a cuddle this morning (the little room is next to my room). She promised they would be on their best behaviour (I'm thinking of my M&S duvet)

BigPigs is gross - I think a bum dip may be on the cards if wipes won't do it. That means I am in the bad books for a few days and I have to nail clip again, lets hope I don't make the poor things bleed this time .
