Am I an addict?

My dad was an alcoholic. They say that addictions can be inherited. Whilst I am not an alcoholic myself nor am I addicted to drugs, I do wonder if I have an addiction to sugar. I never buy cake or sweets or biscuits at home but when I am at work and there are sweets or cake or biscuits that someone has brought in then I eat a lot of them and cannot have just one item

Hi, I believe I have the same problem, but reading Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin (even though I'm not fat) helped hugely. I still binge, but I'm far more mindful now and it happens much less often x
