One of the Fantastic Four? I think they are 20th century fox.

have a look at their website, might have some ideas there.

dress him up as a woman - mrs doubtfire!

KemalsStilletto Tue 09-Aug-05 12:24:13

or maybe butch cassidy?

MarsLady Tue 09-Aug-05 12:41:05

What about Mr Incredible?

lemonice Tue 09-Aug-05 12:44:33

I think she was trying to steer him away from costumes with muscles or shrek (his suggestion)

She quite likes a cowboy/Indiana Jones style

I would go for gangland/suit myself

I don't think it has to be a twentieth century Fox film

Itis a very posh do...

If he wanted to be Shrek (oh dear Lord) then maybe he could go as Prince Charming from Shrek II.

What about Bugsy Malone?

lemonice Tue 09-Aug-05 12:48:26

They sound possible. I think dd is afraid he will end up hiring the proverbial gorilla costume, so the more good alternatives the better!!!

Fox website. If you click on past favourites there is a good list to choose from for ideas.

Master and Commander looks a good one, but how would you do it?

SaintGeorge Tue 09-Aug-05 13:04:39

Dark trousers, white shirt covered by dark jacket with tails (add fake ones with material if you can't find a tail coat), false ponytail (assuming he hasn't got long hair). Add a bit of fancy braid to jacket.

Thinking about it, jodphurs would probably be better than trousers (better shape).

lemonice Tue 09-Aug-05 13:09:32

Saint George thanks for the Fox site, but i couldn't find the past favourites link???

I like the idea for M and C, dd had thought a pirate also

Left hand side, under 'coming soon'.

Can't do a direct link because it is a pop-up window when you click.
