I've put some pics on my profile of the dress i'm hopefully going to wear out to a xmas meal with my girl friends,
please be honest does it look nice?

shootfromthehip Sun 08-Nov-09 17:21:03

It's quite a cute wee dress but honestly it's not doing much for your bust! You may need to get a better over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder. grin <<childish emoticon- love that expression>>

tis lovely - what shoes are you wearing?

JackBauer Sun 08-Nov-09 17:21:39

I like it, but then I normally lurk on S+B so might not be the best eprson to askgrin
In the first pic is that ties hanging down? They looka bit unfortunate....but otherwise it's lovely.

can get good strapless bra from bravissimo - are you wearing one in pic?

cocolepew Sun 08-Nov-09 17:22:10

Erm.. TBH I think it's not quite right. Maybe a bit small?

But I am in the shittest most uncharitable mood ever so you can ignore me.

JackBauer Sun 08-Nov-09 17:22:45

Re: bra, that's what mine look like in a strapless, any type of strapless, so not sure if that's the dress or what, they look big, but then they might well be.

badietbuddy Sun 08-Nov-09 17:22:55

I think I would go for bare legs and covered arms, maybe a black shrug. It's a nice dress but I think you could get one more suited to showing off what seems to be an impressive chest grin

henryhuggins Sun 08-Nov-09 17:24:53

agree, looks a bit small and pinched in some areas. hard to tell from a small pic tho

mazzystartled Sun 08-Nov-09 17:28:26

It's cute, colour's great and looks nice on the bottom half, but I think you could get something better for the nork area. Bluntly - it's a little bit, er, shelf-y - around the chest, which is always a danger with strapless dresses and the more well-endowed (I know of which I speak)

lollyheart Sun 08-Nov-09 17:33:22

I am wearing a stapless bra, like what jackBauer daid they look like that in any strapless bra, i really hate my massive boobs, i'm finding it really hard to find a nice dress.

mazzystartled Sun 08-Nov-09 17:37:10

have you tried a halter neck?

badietbuddy Sun 08-Nov-09 17:37:32

What's your budget? I think the colour looks lovely on you, but strapless just isn't going to work. You need to create some space between the norks and the waist so they don't melt into one (I am also huge of nork and short bodied so know what it's like wink)

cornsilkwearscorsets Sun 08-Nov-09 17:39:12

Phase eight dresses are good for large norks.

cornsilkwearscorsets Sun 08-Nov-09 17:39:36

lolly have you already bought it?

badietbuddy Sun 08-Nov-09 17:39:57

I actually have this dress and it's the same colour but gives a definate waist and is a nicer length imo.

lollyheart Sun 08-Nov-09 17:41:19 sultsPerPage=100&attrList=Dept,brand these are the shoes i'm wearing
They dont look that bright tho.

BEAUTlFUL Sun 08-Nov-09 17:41:37

I really don't like the picture ont he website and can see why it's making your boobs look the way they do. I can't see that it would look good on anybody. Lots of possibilities in Matalan though, I will have to pop in this week I really like this and this

lollyheart Sun 08-Nov-09 17:56:15

Bugit i would say around £40ish
