STUPID IDEA FROM JIMMY CHOO ~ IMHO

ok ~~~ I would never buy these shoes cos they don't come big enough and I wouldn't be able to walk in them

BUT seriously why would you buy a pair of expensive shoes only to be told you NEED to get them re soled before wearing them cos the sole is made of leather

If I did want to buy them I think I would feel cheated and then only wear them indoors nut those heels would ruin the floors

What do you think??????

HERE IS THE WEBSITE

If you click on the INFO button next to the shoes it explains why

weird or sensible????????

I've been advised by cobblers to do this with leather soled shoes. It makes them last longer.

A pair of boots I had peeled away at the toes the first time I wore them as there was a bit of rain.

I guess that the ladies soles tend to be thinner and less resiliant than mens leather soles.

yes I understand why you would want to resole them

but why sell them like that in first place?

I guess really top desinger shoes are not actually designed to be worn outside. They are designed to go from limo to red carpet to event or whatever. And the leather soles look better than normal ones.

That's my guess anyway.

I agree that slebs don't go out in rain in them and would just buy another pair if they ruined

but this is on the ones that they are going to sell in H&M next week for the regular people who want JC for under £100

It's the norm for leather soled shoes.

Wear them a couple of times to scuff the sole, then get a really fine sole put on.

Not many cobblers do the really fine ones.

Have done it once with some LK bennett boots.

I agree it it the norm for really good leather shoes. The ones that DH buys are like this, but then they are handmade one.

I doubt very much that the JC H&M shoes are handmade so don't really understand why they are not selling them with a sole on that will be waterproof.

Aside from that, does anyone else think that they are watering down the brand by selling cheap shoes?

Riven
Those people are not buying JC in H&M for £100 though. They are buying the real thing.

I think a lot of very rich (seriously rih) women buy shoes like their grandmothers would have bought crystal figurines or broches... they never wear them. they just want to own them.
