Are there many clothes about now in a sort of dirty limey pale green? 'Cos I bought a pair of shoes

& they are very comfortable

So I fancy building my holiday wardrobe around them

But only if I can get some tops or something to go with them

Any ideas where I should start looking?

I thought with brown bits & a bit of petrol blue?

holiday ???

Katymac Sat 31-Oct-09 22:16:31

As in ?

Why do I need one? Cos my mummy said I needed one grin
Where are we going? Jamaica [Thank god]
Why do I theme my clothes? So I take less sad
Why dirty limey green? Because they were cheap (see holiday) & comfy sad

& maybe a dress in Brown with limey bits on?

Katymac Sat 31-Oct-09 22:47:49

I like this but it is out of my price range

momijigari Sat 31-Oct-09 23:48:38

silk not sure they would go but in price range?

Katymac Sat 31-Oct-09 23:53:22

It's gorgeous - but too turquoise

Actually looking at my wardrobe - I'm not doing too badly

I could just do with a longish dress (brown) & lime(ish) vest top & I should be OK

katymac - what do you mean by dirty lime green??

I'm thinking ebay might be your best bet as you need summer things.

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 00:35:45

I see lime as the colour of a lime (in an advertising picture)

These are much lighter, almost yellow, with an under tone of sludge

a lighter version of this?
these are a bit too green
a bit like this colour but yellower

So basically I found nothing right blush

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 00:47:21

Apparently it is a pale chartreuse hmm

I still think dirty limey pale green does it for me blush

I think this is the WRONG colour but ooh rather nice for holiday. Buy some more shoes to go with it

Navy might be a good bet - looks lovely with lime green shades.

Or a dark aubergine.

herjazz Sun 01-Nov-09 10:41:03

would this work with yr shoes?

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 10:43:02

I have a navy dress & I just checked & it looks lovely with them - great idea

That would probably work colour wise - but actually I'd be better to go and buy a fab bit of fabric from JL & hem it. You can do most of that with a thin square, great idea thanks

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 10:46:09

No Herjazz that one is too pale - but I am loving that site

OurLadyOfPerpetualBloodSucker Sun 01-Nov-09 14:08:10

Please don't go to Jamaica wearing that African print monstrosity.

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 14:37:20

No chance - How about a sarong in tissue silk?

DD wants to take her african print dress (that she made herself) but that is an a-line minidress

OurLadyOfPerpetualBloodSucker Sun 01-Nov-09 16:13:31

Are kaftans still de riguer as cover-ups?
< hasn't been abroad for a couple of years emoticon >

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 17:42:47

Not a clue - I tend to never get that undressed so it isn't an issue

Jamaica might be hotter tho'

Katymac Sun 01-Nov-09 20:19:04

How much is enough for a week?

Long blue cotton dress
Short Lime green minidress
Brown cotton sundress
Green/chartreuse scarf
Green pashmina

Pale green shorts
5 vest tops (brown/teal/green/black/white)
White loose shirt
Chartreuse/green shirt

Brown 2 piece swimsuit
Black (boring) swim suit

Teal going out skirt
Teal scarf

Limey green/charteuse shoes
Brown shoes

Green/brown/chartreuse rucksack

I think I need brown cotton trousers & greenish bermudas & maybe a third swimsuit is that enough? or way too much?
