What do you think of these shoes?

I never wear heels anymore - I used to when I was younger but have worn flats since I started teaching 6 years ago and have just got out of the habit.

I'm going out for a girly night out for my birthday in November and really fancied a pair of heels.

Bearing in mind I don't want anything too high, they have to be black (just think I will wear them more and will go with black tights) and don't want to spend a fortune

  • what do you think of these?

They are the black ones on the top right (£45) - really like the purple too but don't think they would go with as much,

They are lovely and very versatile and if they are the sole reviver brand, they will be comfy

i have got the green ones on that page and absolutely love them. The most comfortable pair of shoes i have worn in ages.

I would be tempted by the purple though...

I'm afraid I have an aversion to t-bars - the subject of many tantrums and arguments with my mother in various shoe shops in the 1980s, so I can't really give an unbiassed opinion.

I really like the shoes directly underneath though, the ones with the ribbon ties.

the purple ones are better - plus they do go with black tights too, plus a nice contrast. I have a pair of sole reviver shoes and they are super high and super comfortable, so go for it!!

They are not really saying Girlie Night Out to be honest - more Nice Day at The Office Darling.

Sorry!

These I'm considering in purple, but they also come in black.

Actually scrub that, they are for work and Gomez has it aright about shoes for a night out.

But do think black tights and purple shoes would look fab.

oooh I like pretty much all those shoes... black ones will be good as they go with anything, but hte purple ones are gorgeous. oh dear, better stay away from the shops for a while!

The black ones are very dull. The purple better, but no too much better. If you hardly wear heels go for some that make you feel fabulous. They don't have to go with everything, you hardly wear heels, after all

How old are you?

They are quite nice though I have to say I'm not keen on suede (worry about keeping them nice but maybe you're not as scruffy as I am!)

Similar but from Clarks

I like these but maybe a bit high?

Twofalls - since looking at the OP's link, I've been thinking about those green shoes as I've wanted green shoes for ages. They look lovely but I've never really done a heel about 4.5cm before as I have proper old lady feet.... hmmm, bit tempted now you say they are comfy though.

Heated - I love those Fly Vela, I've had my eye on them for a while but can't decide on a colour (I like grey, purple and red) plus I'm nervous of buying something that I haven't had a chance to try on (because of aforementioned old lady feet). Also love these booties from Fly

For something similar try Moda en Pelle

www.modainpelle.com/details/001030.aspx

Bit more funky and loads like the ones you have picked from Next in the Moda sale

norkily, not only are they really comfortable (and if you have wide feet they come in wide fitting so even better) loads of people comment on them.

oh, and I am still wearing them even though I am 22 weeks pregnant. Won't be able to reach down to do up the strap soon though

Honestly, you need to treat yourself.

Thanks for the feedback.

NorktasticNinja Believe me compared to my normal work shoes - these are girly night out for me. I'm 31 but do admit I have become quite frumpy over the last few years.

Norkilychallenged I like the 2nd Clarks pair but they are a bit more than I was willing to pay.

I do really like the purple ones too - I have got a directory account so might order both and then decide.

Twofalls I really like the green ones too and the blue ones - want them all now!!!

NC, if you have an Office near you, they stock Fly. Have been drooling over some flat Fly boots as well, although the rave MNer threads have almost convinced me Duo boots could be worth the extra.

Kimlouiseb, I'm sorry but am not that taken with those TBars personally because they are suede which I think limits their wearability and possibly will date? I have a pair in the wardrobe older than the dcs so I know of what I speak! It's a pity the green shoes in the next box over don't come in another colour, as they are much nicer style imo.

I really like that style of shoes.

I'm the same, out of the habit of wearing shoes with much of a heel.

I bought a similar pair the other day and they look and feel fantastic. Really easy to walk in, not so high and dressed up I feel ott, and v v flattering

Mmmmm. 31. The original shoes far too middle aged TBH. There'll be plenty of time for that later

I don't mean you should go for something extreme just a wee bit interesting. If you want something simple do go for a colour rather than black.

Maybe maybe?

No time to search properly ATM, sorry.

Thanks for the link chipsticksmammy - really good website, have added it to my favourites.

Have ordered the next ones in black and purple - will see what they're like and then decide.

Thanks for all the help.
