I think I like it but not sure, might be bit too 'whacky'?

too busy on the eye?

SixtyFootGhoul Fri 23-Oct-09 19:25:42

N.O. spells no.
But if YOU like it, then get it!!!

RubysReturn Fri 23-Oct-09 19:26:22

ooo I like

dearprudence Fri 23-Oct-09 19:27:27

Looks like a Pictureka board. wink

CybilEngineer Fri 23-Oct-09 19:28:19

It's a bit summery...I think a busy pattern needs a darker background

stakethroughtheheartofgold Fri 23-Oct-09 19:28:44

the clue is in funky, only a step away from <shudder> sassy

cornsilk Fri 23-Oct-09 19:28:45

I like it.

LuluDanceOnMyGrave Fri 23-Oct-09 19:32:13

Oooh I love it, but then I'm 41 and in denial. Just as well I'm too tall for Joe Brown coats, although I do buy a lot of their other stuff. I might have to buy it and see if the sleeves are long enough... DH will hate me...

<<mutton dressed as lamb>>

I like it but prefer the Awesome coat.

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:36:50

The Awesome coat was just on some bird on the telly! I like it too and yes agree that busy pattern needs darker background Cybil which Awesome coat has.

I think if in doubt don't ~ BUT it is playing on my mind.....

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:37:45

Lulu, I'm 44 so would I definitely be classed as Mutton (in denial too)?

OurLadyOfPerpetualBloodSucker Fri 23-Oct-09 19:44:18

I agree that it's too pale for winter - but isn't there a darker floral coat? Not keen on the scribbly style.

Depends what you want it for - if school run, shopping, trips to the pub, a 'casual' dress code at work - fine.

If a more formal lifestyle, posh evenings out, mature businesslike job, then no.

Puts me in mind of a Doc Marten/floral dress type of gal, so if you can carry that look off, go for it.

< looks ugly and frumpy in DMs >

LuluDanceOnMyGrave Fri 23-Oct-09 19:45:07

Now I hate the Awesome one, it's too dark! Be Loud and Proud!

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:51:05

I think I would be too cold in it for the winter so would save for spring.

Just worried that am TOO OLD... I was definitely a DM, floral dresses kinda gal ~ but that was then...

It would be for casual, over nice jeans etc

MayorNaze Fri 23-Oct-09 19:52:03

that is cool. get it

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:53:15

That's good enough for me MayorNaze ~ off to hit the buy button! Can be my christmas pressie from DH I think... bet I hate it when it comes!

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:54:12

Anyone got a Joe Brown code please?!

I know jajas I saw it and drooled. And she has the individuals dress on too in the studio envy

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 19:58:07

OOOh I musn't look at dresses.....

MaggieBruja Fri 23-Oct-09 20:05:24

that site is lovely, casual-ish and quirky!

lvoe this tunic top. Boden, listen up, this tunic is much nicer than any of your tunics ! grin

gorgeous I like this a credit card twitching amount

MaggieBruja Fri 23-Oct-09 20:06:15

that awesome coat is lovely.

Jajas Fri 23-Oct-09 20:09:41

Maggie couldn't get your link? It says sorry blah blah!

vvvodka Fri 23-Oct-09 20:09:52

trouble with coats like this, is that youlove them the first year, find them okie the second, but loathe them, or at least are dead dead bored by the third. i have a lovely blue and cream patterned coat from boden that i adored, but really really want ot replace now, but cannot justify it. theres nothing wrong wiht it, i just dont like it anymore.

EdgarAllenPoo Fri 23-Oct-09 20:15:07

dunno mate, but most of their summer stff wound up heavily reduced, so in a few months they may be offering knock down prices on these...

in the meanwhile -

Golden rule: if it would look better covering a sofa, don't buy it wink
