I've been wearing Max Factor, but bought the new no 7 which is crap- took it back.
What does everyone use- I have quite long very dark lashes, and like waterproof.

PoisonToadstool Fri 23-Oct-09 18:17:23

Oh I was going to say No 7.

I find Maybelline quite good, and shock Collection 2000 shock

I like clinique!

randomeuro Fri 23-Oct-09 19:41:08

Tough one, YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils or Dior Show. Lancome are always very good too

kittya Fri 23-Oct-09 19:46:46

Max Factor Masterpiece Max. I know you have been using max factor but, I have tried them all and this is by far the best and most reasonable. The Chanel one I gave it away, it made my lashes look thicker but stumpy.

EyeOfFrogSpawnChorus Fri 23-Oct-09 19:50:45

Agree with randomeuro: YSL faux cils is great. L'Oreal Voluminous is a v good budget-friendly option.

Avon supershock in black, best everrrrrr

twinklylights Fri 23-Oct-09 20:04:08

Rimmel magnif'eyes is fab-no eyelash curler needed and is really lengthening too.

BonjourIvresse Fri 23-Oct-09 20:57:07

I like maybelline great lash.

hatesponge Fri 23-Oct-09 21:09:14

max factor false lash effect is really good.

Christian Dior (the one with Cashmere) is great as well.

ChickandDuck Fri 23-Oct-09 21:14:16

alypaly Fri 23-Oct-09 21:16:45

max factor aqualash,no runs, stays on even when scuba diving smile

facebookaddict Fri 23-Oct-09 21:24:58

Alypaly !!!! Soooo true. But I am grieving as I went to buy it last week and they don't make it anymore so Boots didn't have any.

Gutted as I have worn it for over 10 years nonstop (I never take it off just apply ontop) and am always being complimented on my eyelashes.

It's the only make up I wear and I am bereft at the thought of being without it......

chattermouse Fri 23-Oct-09 21:26:32

max factor 2000 calorie. Super good.

facebookaddict Fri 23-Oct-09 21:34:49

Chattermouse This is the one I am using but am still appalled at the black smearing I get as I've used waterproof for 10 years....

chattermouse Fri 23-Oct-09 21:41:40

That's odd. I don't get any smearing with it at all and i wear tonnes. In fact it is one of the very few that do not smear a bit on me. I used to find that estee lauder ones did not smear either - but, they are tres pricey. max Factor is value for money.

facebookaddict Fri 23-Oct-09 21:45:49

well I'm referring to situations when all non waterproof ones would smear - crying, showers, in the morning - as I got into bad habits with waterproof...never taking it off!!! blush

I def think it is the best out there (now that Aqua Lash has gone)

hazeyjane Fri 23-Oct-09 21:47:48

Maybelline Great Lash, have tried loads of others, always come back to this. It doesn't clump, smudge, look 'fibrous', irritate my eyes and it is dirt cheap.

chattermouse Fri 23-Oct-09 21:51:04

Don't max factor do any waterproof at all now then? Surely they have replaced your old one with something new?

facebookaddict Fri 23-Oct-09 21:54:00

They do a waterproof one but not in the same range and I tried it but the wand is stupidly small and the mixture is really runny. Just not a good replacement.

I can't believe they withdrew it. I would happily have bought a lifetime's supply upfront.

(Okay I realise that this is a little psychotic but I am pale and blonde and this is the only make up I ever wear. It's like a piece of me!)

alypaly Fri 23-Oct-09 21:54:07

facebookaddict .....OMG what am i going to wear as none of the others are truly waterproof.
