Jeggings virgin......please come advise

I am thinking of braving the jegging .

I am after a black pair after spectacularly failing to find any black jeans to fall in love with.

I am 5'6 and a size 8 - 10.

Would ideally like a pair with a mid to high rise to avoid muffin toppage......does such a pair exist?

Any recommendations or places to avoid?

Same size and height to you - got mine in New look, £15. Am usually 8 but bought size 10 so they fit a bit higher - and got the 31 leg length to make sure they don't wriggle up either
Do it, girl.

I thought 'jeggings' were leggings that look like jeans...thats what my teenage dds say anyway!

Aren't you just talking about black leggings??

My dd got a fantastic pair, quite high waisted from Top Shop, they also last longer than all the others she buys!

As for jeggings, my dd buys these from River Island.....rip off in my opinion.

Brilliant Thanks Witchforlife.

Am presuming it is more stylish to go for a slight wrinkle at ankle anyway, as per leggings?

Do yours have a proper waistband or are they elasticated?

startingagain - according to Top Shop jeggings are also available in black, to look like black skinny jeans.

I have leggings already. Am really after something I could wear with my shorter dresses and long tops without feeling quite as "exposed" as I do in leggings, iyswim

sorry tulpe, see what you mean

Yes, Top Shop good, suppose River Island will have them, i just get fed up with dd spending soooooo much money in there!

Matalan also seem to have lots of different leggings and jeggings at the moment.

Startingagain, leggings are stretchy jersey material, jeggings are denim, with a legging/elasticated waist band, no buttons or fly.
