Do you think this dress would fit right on someone who was a 34G? i am thinking of getting the size 16 as am very curvy. i would just like a nice dress that fitted and was warm

hoxtonchick Sun 18-Oct-09 20:27:03

yes, i just noticed blush

hoxtonchick Sun 18-Oct-09 20:27:56

anyway, the dress. could be nice, could cling outrageously round the tummy....

I suspect there would be a lot of cleavage, it is lower than I'd want (also 34G)

I ordered it from the preview in August, the neckline was nice on me (36 DD) but I found the length frumpy, tbh.Didn't particularly cling,though..

also think the length isn't all that flattering. i'd go for something above or just on the knee assuming your legs are ok.

Only if you have no tummy & hips IYSWIM

moocowme Sun 18-Oct-09 20:33:20

big hips as well. i was hoping a 16 would skim over a bit

Have you looked at Bravissimo - they do range of clothes as well as bras for the amply boobed which are cut specially so you wouldn't need to order a larger size to fit your boobs.

I have hips and a generous bust too and there is NO WAY I would wear jersey/wool/clingy dress as it only makes you look larger and curvier (in a bad way).

I have this dress, the length is good (fraction above the knee) and there's plenty of room for BBs, the fabric is flattering, lightweight but lined, it says dry clean only but I (accidently) stuck it in a 40 degree wash with everything else and it came out fine. The shape is nice, and the 3/4 sleeves look trendy without showing off (my) bingo wings. The black one can be dressed up or down fairy easily too.

I wouldn't (30Js here).

Do own www.wallis.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=20551& storeId=12557&categoryId=145409&parent_category_rn=140428&productId=1370452&langId=-1this - it is incredibly flattering though needs thick tights for work!

Dont do it!!

I have the same figure type as you and I bought this one

Get loads of compliments with it but you do have to wear a cardigan unless you are reall confident about your arms.

I would say read the reviews before you buy but experience has taught me that they arent very quick to post the ones that arent altogether glowing!

Well I do have a tummy and am size 18 but have this dresss - somehow I just knew you were going to link to it before I clicked -weird.
I have it in the navy aand grey and it looks fab. I do wear a body slimmer type thingy underneath as well as the slip that they provide which smooths over the lumps and bum[ps. I love this dress smile

you need a wrap dress - very forgiving over hips and tummy (speaking from experience)
