I shall be doing it until I move to Mauritius.
Besides, layering is, like, so next season...according to the Guardian like I give a monkey's

I do. I get cold otherwise.

iwascyteenagewerewolf Wed 14-Oct-09 11:46:35

I do, because I like the way it looks.

Definitely, I'm doing it, that way you get to prolong your autumn wardrobe into your winter one a little longer.

LaurieFairyCake Wed 14-Oct-09 11:49:18

yes and it looks great - this is one of my favourite looks

I'm currently trying to hunt down 'bodies' for this very purpose

Sourdough Wed 14-Oct-09 11:53:28

I am - I don't know about anyone else.
Bought a gorgeous short-sleeved mohair thingy in Noa Noa. It's my fave item at the moment with a long-sleeved top beneath.

I do this for my 18mo DS all the time so he can wear his cute summer vest tops and tshirts for a bit longer.

Never done it myself though, because I'm scared of looking crap myself rather than because I think it looks crap (I think it looks good as well as being practical on everyone else who does it). Do I just go and buy lots of white long sleeved t-shirt style tops and put whatever I want over the top? Or is there more thought that I need to put into it than that?

LetThemEatCake Wed 14-Oct-09 11:58:23

am doing it this very minute...

iwascyteenagewerewolf Wed 14-Oct-09 11:58:31

HQ, I do that with my 13mo DS too! grin He looks so cute in his layered tops.

LetThemEatCake Wed 14-Oct-09 12:02:38

Holidays... Start safe by doing stripey l/s tee under plain ss tee, or vice versa. Or l/s tee under summer dress ( not one with thin straps mind, must be to the shoulder or actual sleeves) Once you get your head around how it looks on you, off you go. Don't limit yourself to White tees, either!

HolidaysQueen Wed 14-Oct-09 12:06:18

does it work equally well with short sleeved shirts/blouses?

LetThemEatCake Wed 14-Oct-09 12:10:38

I think no, but then, i am not a shirt person. Under a short sleeve flanny might look quite cool... You'd just have to be sure that the top on top was not dressy, as this is a very casual look if that makes sense?
