Joules 'mouse' shoes for girls ... anyone bought them?

I have ordered these for my dd's Xmas party season ... but although the catalogue claims that the soles are 'flexible for comfort', they are solid as rocks, and I have visions of her continually stepping out of them at the back. Has anyone's dd got these? I don't want to try them on her if I can help it because they are meant to be a surprise from grandma.

Hooray! Many thanks for the info. They are blardy expensive for something not made of leather, but irresistible, I fear ...
