Where can I find some flattering scoop neck tops

I like H&M for layering, so they might not be right for you, I always wear them under a cardigan/jumper/dress. Zara? Monsoon (always good for not tight fitting tops, that skim, imho), Laura Ashley, maybe and M&S.

Yes, I've got some great ones from H&M but no way could I wear them without something else on top. Will check out Monsoon/Laura Ashley. Have tried Uniqlo, but again too tight.

I got some from a little boutique called Tesco Absolutely fine with nothing over them and I've found they don't cling too much.

Boden's scoop necks are good too, but many more £ than Tesco.

M&S Limited Collection ones are v good, although I'd recommend you size up one. The Gap ones go out of shape on the neck v quickly - mine are now unwearable as they have become almost boat-necked and reveal too much shoulder.

After much recent research over the last 6 months or so, resulting in many dissapointing purchases and returns:

Tesco - short and go out of shape

H&M - nice colours, long in body but thin and flimsy, but would be good for layering. Bit hit and miss on finding them.

M&S Limited collection - short in body, bit clingy.

M&S mainstream shop - horrid fabric

Gap - cheap, nasty, flimsy, out of shape in one wash, shrink, just horrid, horrid dishrags

Boden - long in body, many colours, wash well, nice thick jersey fabric. Well worth the cash, worth splashing out one, my fave.

Primark - Have one, with slightly puffed shoulders. Really like it, very thin fabric, but great for layering. Surprisingly un-rubbish for £2.50 - better than Gap at a tenner.

Hawkshead - not very scoopy, despite what the tops might call themsleves. Short body, but nice fabric. (Actually it was my mum who bought these, not me). Bit baggy and shapeless.

I have been pondering the same thing and looking at the plainer colours of Boden scoop necks. The velvet trim ones do look worryingly low though - don't want to be giving my colleagues too much of an eyeful in meetings.

I have two plain jersey scoop necks from S/S this year - a white one and a navy/white breton striped one. Have stood up to wash and wear and weaning (DS not me!) and sticky hand prints and scrubbing with Vanish very well! I mostly wear these with jeans on "Mummy Days".

I have also got two of the velvet trim ones -a purple and a black one. Only had these a week and can see me wearing them and wearing them for work and slightly-smarter-than-jeans occassions. Scoop is not too low I don't think. I am not one for wanting to get my cleavage out and it doesn't worry me. It is a nice depth, more flattering than a crew neck. I like that the kersey fabric is thick and "springy" but not clingy and hasd no lycra.

Am covetting the Boden plain scoops at Sale Time.

I just bought this from Dorothy Perkins.

It's quite a heavy jersey, and it's a bit more scoopy than it looks here. Also it's much less clingy on the bum than the pic suggests - it's 'skimmy' rather than tight. Very flattering, actually.

Oh, but it wouldn't work with skirts - too long for that.

Thanks everybody. Can't really do lycra, tummy too fat. Kettlewell looks good. I did have a Boden one a year or so ago but I thought the qualty was crappy. Will try again.

Haven't read all suggestions but I have a few from White Company which are lovely, wash well & somehow don't cling to my generous mummy tummy at all! Well worth it imo.
