Hmmmm.

Still not sure about the whole sequin skirt concept. Think you will have an arse shaped mark where all the sequins will rub off. You will have to spend the evenings stood up.

What shoes are you wearing it with? High high platforms?

Report
PVish · 06/10/2009 14:49

high high yes.
have shoe boots( you all vomit)
or some ancient new look minnie mouse type balck suede
or some benetton sale(!) black suede peep toe platfroms stiletoids

Oh no like shoe boots as long as they are not Balenciaga-esque strappy patent leather tarty types.

Yes to black suede as interesting texture contrast between sequins/suede/tights (god how poncy do I sound must stop reading Grazia) - however still feel a bit ick at wearing peep toes with tights, even though it's 'allowed'. Whenever I wear peep toes with tights I feel like my gran.

She does. Don't laugh. She's really embarassed. There she is, having her picture taken for a major magazine, and she needs to pipi. I too would be mortified

Like the skirt!

I take all the snide comments back I have changed my mind, that skirt is very nice. Would prefer it in black though.

My dd stands like that in her slouching teenage way. Bet that model's mum always says to her 'stand up straight, you'll get round shouldered, think posture' in manner of Miss jean Brodie.

Yes, dp bought me a sequin dress from French Connection a couple of years ago (have never worn it) - the sequins on it look lovely, in comparison with some shocking examples have seen in Top Shop and Republic for example. Is a case of you get what you pay for.

Found it was so high maintenance to wear - would have been too self conscious to sit down or dance in teh bloody thing. Plus is very scratchy. DP stroppy that I have never worn the thing as it was very expensive (I didn't ask for the bloody thing, would have preferred cash!)

Christ, someone in fashion with a sense of humour.

Quitre like the Pat Butcher, not so much the Cilla leather skirt.

i do not like - looks like something you'd see on a teenager on a saturday night ......but then anything with sequins I think is a bit suspect - like its trying too hard
