How short is it? Have you got good legs above the knee? If yes, then you'll look fine.

I wear one just above my footballers knees, but it looks OK with tights and boots, I think!

I'm experiencing similar dilemmas.

I'm 39. I've always been a short skirt kind of girl, my legs are one of my best bits. But now I'm thinking 'am I juts too old for this?' Do I need a more demure look? But I find it hard to find a path between frumpy and funky.

I tried on some short skirts the other night for DH and he assured me I can still get away with it. But he is probably not the best person to ask. I'm shopping with my Mum tmoorrow, i'll get her opinion as she will be more brutal with me.

I am kind of thinking...maybe this will be the last year?? But then Kylie et al are in thier 40's and don't seem to put any restrictions on thier cloting choices.

I do think though that denim mini may be a step too far......sorry!

I have a summer denim mini and this summer I only wore it for going to the pool, decided it was too young.

it's not a knicker skimmer, just a couple of inches above the knee. it was a full length skirt i never wore, so have shortened it, just worried i've gone too short with it now. legs are ok (i am a size 12), much more passable when clad in winter tights!

A couple of inches above the knee isn't very short! Go for it!!

it's an inch shorter than the boden denim mini their size 12r is 19", my skirt is about 18", so i guess it's still quite a respectable length.

am pretty sure dh will like it when he gets home later

I think you will look utterly fab.

Go for it

Oh you are fine then. Boden's idea of mini is rather victorian imo.

My short skirts really are short (mid thigh, used to be top of tigh in my youth), but my tigths are good (I have no waist though in case I sound self satisfied.)

Should I ditch these? But the boden mini fills me with dread.

i find boden skirts far too long, but i'm only 5ft 2". their skirts are too long, tops are too short. just been flicking through a fashion union catalogue which came in the post this morning, their minis are 12" long

good God, I was picturing it being up around the knicker line - that's barely a mini! I would have said no way José to the first option but I think you'll be ok with what you actually have.

is a true mini a jordan mini skirt?, cut so short you can see the pockets hanging down

I thought 'pockets' was a euphemism there for a minute!.

I wear the the regular boden mini skirt. I'm aged 33 with 34 inch legs ( i.e. i usually take longer length stuff)
