Do you do that thing with nice wooden hangers equally spaced in your closet/wardrobe?

And does each wooden hanger have a delicate item hanging off it?

And is said item really expensive from Net-A-Porter or similar?

I will never be able to do this.
I have tried. I have too many (ancient) clothes.
I have however bought this and this and they are LOVELY.

oooh am liking those tops

Yes, I have all mine on wooden hangers. I have just had a major overhaul of my wardrobe - put summer clothes away and several items on ebay. So now plenty of room in there and I am pathetically happy when I open my wardrobe and see it!

Delicate items are either folded though or on padded hangers wink

Yes, some are from Net-A-Porter or other designer stores but mostly high street.

Also have all folded items neatly stacked in piles according to item: long sleeve tees, short sleeve tees, cami's, cardis etc.

I am clearly rather a sad individual!! Actually, in truth, I am naturally a very disorganised person. I impose such rigid organisation upon myself otherwise I would be drowning in chaos.

I have entirely wooden hangers, and they all face the same way with even spacing. Unfortunately they do not have delicate swaithes of net-a-porter hanging from them... just normal clothes...mainly New Look/Dorothy P's/River Island. hmm

Lovely tops though - just what you need in this weather wink

I don't think you're sad tulpe.
I tried to reorganise my whole wardrobe after buying those two things! blush

And I am pretty messy disorganised too. I just wanted one area of my life that looked glam and inviting.

I try to do the nicely spaced wooden hanger thing but I have so much old crap stuff in there that I can't get rid of until I can afford to replace it that it ends up stuffed full with wooden corners sticking out everywhere.

Can't help thinking the thin plastic ones - or even wire <shudders> - would allow me to fit more in lol! grin

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 09:55:40

geordie, I take your point grin
However I make my clothes last for YEARS. I am also an opportunist buyer because, being 5'3" and easily drowned in bulky clothes (have a short hip-to-waist ratio)if I see something that will flatter me in the slightest I will grab it.

So I'm buying for next summer. grin

Did you use voucher for £50 if you spend £150?

You are (slightly) taller than me grin

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:00:48

I really want this

and this but it was sold out in my size.

geordieminx Tue 29-Sep-09 10:03:47

Lovely - and the first dress would be a bargin at £115 grin

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:03:49

geordie yes I did!
Like I say, I'm an opportunist buyer grin

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:05:06

I know, but I cant justify it. I think, oh that's equal to at least two pairs of shoes for DD hmm

CuntWhacker Tue 29-Sep-09 10:09:25

yes, I have wooden hangers, and yes they are evenly spaced positioned....

....that's because the wardrobe is so rammed full that they are all rammed up against each other wink

Love Day Birger!

Fab website...I have quite alot in the shopping basket now!

And yes - I do have wooden hangers with usually only one item on. I am ruthless about chucking out stuff have not worn/not fit and chaning wardrobe around each season.

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:23:14

Remember to use the code!
I have been looking for a good vest dress for ages now, I have one I have been wearing for 20 years because I love it so much but it is starting to fall apart and I'm considering trying to get it copied.
this was the other thing I bought. Pretty much the same as my grey dress but without the pattern.

claricebeansmum Tue 29-Sep-09 10:24:07

what code where?

moondog Tue 29-Sep-09 10:28:06

Yes, otherwise wardrobe is depressing mishmash.
I have banned dh from using owt but wooden too and even have small ones for the offspring. Very pleasing.

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:33:41

CuntWhacker Tue 29-Sep-09 10:37:39

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:38:16

claricebeansmum Tue 29-Sep-09 10:38:45

MadameOvary thank you thank you thank you.

Will be gone for sometime....grin

MadameOvary Tue 29-Sep-09 10:48:39

Come and tell us what you bought! (nosey)

orangina Tue 29-Sep-09 10:52:11

Ooh, this is looking much too tempting...... (does that code mentioned above work with the 10% off for MN as well?)

RubysReturn Tue 29-Sep-09 10:52:17

Yes, but hung by lenght to accommodate drawers too. Makes clothes look much better and encourages you to bin the crap.

CHOOGIRL Tue 29-Sep-09 11:12:02

Noooo I am supposed to be working from home today. I cannot go on my-wardrobe again and buy more stuff. However, the DHL man hasn't visited chez choogirl since last week.....
