Set to continue for another week.
I want it cold and crisp so I can show off my new boots.

HeadFairy Sun 27-Sep-09 15:36:25

I'm quite happy for it to stay like this for a couple of weeks yet.... all our stuff was put in to storage in mid July for our house move, and we still haven't moved in yet, the only shoes I've got are birkenstocks and flip flops! I really didn't plan terribly well, but I had no idea it would take 9 weeks (and counting!)

cookielove Sun 27-Sep-09 15:37:07

ooh that will be nice i'm back to work next week and it is the start of a new term you deaddei have made me smile

deaddei Sun 27-Sep-09 15:44:12

Well, I'm glad I've made someone happy!!!
I just prefer cold weather (and look better covered up!)

cookielove Sun 27-Sep-09 15:46:56

well i look fat either way so i'm not to bothered

tulpe Sun 27-Sep-09 16:01:57

I am torn.

I would be loving this weather if I hadn't already put away all my summer clothes in something of a huff a week ago when it was cold and crappy here.

Love the days when you can wrap up all warm and snuggly and show off new boots .

geordieminx Sun 27-Sep-09 16:03:41

Freezing in Scotland sad

deaddei Sun 27-Sep-09 16:17:26

Can I come and stay??

CNyle Sun 27-Sep-09 16:21:40

it is SO SO HOT today

geordieminx Sun 27-Sep-09 19:30:17

14 here today, and looking the same for the rest of the week. Grr

I even have radiators on.

28 degrees for me.

I have boot envy for 10 months of the year.

Amandoh Sun 27-Sep-09 19:40:08

Completely agree with you Deaddei.

I folded and put away all my Summer clothes last weekend. Bought two new coats (One red, one yellow since you ask), new boots, new jeans and two new pairs of shoes and then the sun comes out! If I'd had known a bit of Autumnal clothes shopping brought the sun out I'd have done it weeks ago.

Convinced myself that although it was sunny today it was breezy enough for boots and long cardi. Took the dogs for a trek on the North Downs and was sweltering. Stuck to my guns though and kept cardi on!

deaddei Sun 27-Sep-09 20:16:00

Geordieminx...radiators on!! Oh it gets better. We did have the underfloor heating on in the kitchen last night, because it IS a bit nippy in the evenings. In fact I have a pair of socks on and my slippers.
I long for the glasses of red, casseroles and hearty food- we had chicken salad tonight- I am sick of bloody salad. I want parsnips, Jamie's beef stew and a steamed sponge pudding with custard.

CNyle Sun 27-Sep-09 20:16:56

It was hot enough for a) Pants in the garden and b) for my face to get a tan

fishie Sun 27-Sep-09 20:19:38

i hvae been wearing boots and bare legs with dresses. plus cardie and leggings for going to work (7am).

CNyle Sun 27-Sep-09 20:20:05

god where are you?

janeite Sun 27-Sep-09 20:21:04

Pants in the garden?

It is a bit nippy here - I have got my boots out. AND we had toad in the hole for dinner!

I am thinking of new pashmina and knitwear purchases.

andgodcreatedwoman Mon 28-Sep-09 10:28:46

Well send the sun up here and stop bloody showing off. It's grey and windy and rainy here again.

chattermouse Mon 28-Sep-09 10:30:50

Am sat in bay window on laptop, sweltering. Am in t-shirt and skirt. Tis like sitting in a conservatory.

PutDown Mon 28-Sep-09 12:24:22

15.5 degrees in cheshire.
Cardigan weather.
No sign of any sun at all.
Bloody southernersgrin

ThePhantomPlopper Mon 28-Sep-09 12:26:52

Not brilliant down South today, cloudy, about 18 degrees.

The nice stuff is only supposed to last until Friday at the latest then we will all be plunged into Autumn.
