She lives in Surrey

She eats salad with feta cheese, does a roast on Sunday (whilst Greg is walking the Brown lab)

She really, really wants to shop in exclusive little boutiques - but her underachieving doting dh doesn't earn enough.

'course she is. And the power plate sessions have done wonders for that post baby tummy..

She is a GP.

All GPs look like the Boden catalogue has thrown up on them.

She is called Julia and drives a Focus.

She lives in a nice area and her children go to the nice school

I do know someone who makes Boden look fantastic. She lives in a huge converted , house, makes jam, is very clever, has made heaps of money and is utterly gorgeous. The only time I am tempted to buy Boden is when I see her. Then I slink back to SE London and think again.

Other than her, the only people I see Boden on are usually harrassed mothers wearing hotchpotch on campsites.

Dilly you are obsessed with Boden!

She's middle middle class but aspires to be upper middle or upper class.

She has or would like a labrador or similar large dog, an Aga, and an old rectory. Her children have ponies. She does some part time interior design or PR work.

In reality she lives in a semi, drives a Ford, her kids go the the local bog standard comp, and she works as a teacher.

If someone is utterly gorgeous anyway they make a sackcloth look great!

Boden is all about aspiring to a lifestyle. Like so many things in life - they lure you in.

Something in Chattermouse's post from the other day really struck a chord with me:

"This season is the first i've shopped at boden and i must say i am hooked. I love the patterns, the brightness and the all round happy feel."

That's exactly what I hate about it. Just the other day I was ranting to someone about their sick-making returns policy info on their packaging (admire yourself in the mirror.. in the unlikely event that you don't look totally GORGEOUS blah blah") and the offers they send on "we miss you already" ... UGH I just hate it!!!

So I think the Boden woman is basically not a grumpy cantankerous cow like me
