Asda straight leg jeans - shrink or bag?

Have just bought some of these jeans today. They look fab and HURRAH have a flattering mid-rise that doesn't shoe bum cleavage when bending over.

I tried them on in store and I think I am probably stuck between sizes. The 8's were too tight and the 10's were a little loose around the hip. I decided on the 10's as I am fed up with buying jeans that I think will "give" and then end up giving me appalling stomach ache by the end of a days' wear.

Does anyone have any of these jeans? Do they "give" or do they have a tendency to shrink?

I know there are probably better, more expensive jeans out there which will give a more accurate fit but tbh I don't have the time nor inclination to look right now. That task is on my "new year, new shopping budget" list
