This season is the first i've shopped at boden and i must say i am hooked. I love the patterns, the brightness and the all round happy feel. Am interested in what you've all been buying and what you still have you're beady eyes on.....

  1. I've bought: 4 round neck crew tops, 2 round neck stripe cardigans, 2 fun tank tops, 1 hand printed cardigan, 1 cloudspotter mac and have a merino tunic on order in ink and pink (am hoping this will be flattering and fab!)

  2. I still want: the rainbow cuff cardigan, a fun skirt and a printed skirt. Am still losing last of baby weight though so will wait till it's gone before buying skirts.

  3. on sale i will be fancying: skirts and trousers. Will perhaps try a dress or 2 as well.

So tell me about you....will be good to see roughly how many pieces you all buy each season on average!

should have been 'your' beady eyes . I blame holding a baby whilst typing....

The only thing I have bought this year was a merino tunic, which was lovely and very useful.

I don't find their clothes fit me very well on the whole. I am fairly average: 5'8", size 10-12, so I don't know why this should be.

Their plain tops are always too short in the body on me.

What I would like to know is where everyone is getting the £££££££ from to spend.

I bought DS1 & 2 some vintage jeans. Just about affordable with 20% off as deal of the day plus another 15% and free returns. They are a great fit on their skinny backsides

I've bought two printed tie-tops, a paintbox v-neck, silver plimsolls, a ditsy floral double layer top, stripy throw-on top plus quite a lot of things from their summer sale over the past two months (rainy day mac, riviera dress, chic jacket etc). I've also ordered a hooded top from the winter preview which should be delivered in the next few weeks. This is also my first season buying Boden and I'm hooked like you Chattermouse!

I still want a cloudspotter mac, a couple of skirts and the rainbow cuff cardigan. I don't really have the £££ at the moment, so I'm hoping the cloudspotter mac will turn up in the sales.

I've been getting everything with discounts. Mostly the £10 off £30 or 15%. I hadn't bought any new stuff for ages (due to pregnancy) so was overdue some 'me' spending!

abr1d - sounds like the same tunic i'm getting. Does it cling to every lump and bump or does it skim over tum and bum [[hopeful emoticon] ?

Fimbo - ikwym, i returned a sale hoody cos too short in body. If it's any help, the round neck crew tops are perfect length on me at 5ft 9.5. Great for layering and 2 for £24 with £10 off.

Ouma - is the ditsy top gorgeous? it looks nice but think it sold out in the green which was the one i fancied. Also love those plimsolls, i will get some if they hit the sale. What is the winter preview? Have i missed something vital?. The cloudspotter is lush. Have had many admiring comments in it!

Frites-agree the deal of day was great. I got the cloudspotter that way with an extra 15% off too.

Yes bodenites, the rainbow coat is beautiful. I love it in the navy. But, i am sahm for now so just no use for it at all at the mo. Would be a fab work coat though. Maybe it will make it to the sale and you'll get a bargain . I am a bit gutted that some of the nicest dresses and skirts have already gone out of stock so no chance of sale bargains as i had hoped...

I got a bundle of vests in the sale, and in the new season I've got the long denim skirt in vintage.

The skirt is great quality and fits well, but design wise it's pretty bland. Could pass for Next or similar department store tbh.

Also it's not that long - if you're over 5 foot 5 I'd say get the extra long length.

(Though bizarrely their jeans designers think that women come in two heights: Really Tall, and Even Taller)

Chattermouse - the ditsy top is gorgeous, and I managed to get the green before it went out of stock. I think the quality of it is lovely (especially for the price). I'm envious of your cloudspotter mac! Go to www.bodenpreview.co.uk and there are some more clothes on there that you can pre-order for delivery from early Oct.

I am going to a Boden shopping party in a couple of weeks time, where a lot of things will be on display to try, including jeans. Most will have 20% off.

Thanks for the heads up Chatter, but I have just bought some long sleeved t's from Uniqulo, 2 for £11.99 and nicer quality than Johnnie's

chattermouse--I find the tunic is quite flattering on me. And easy to wear.

oohh, thanks for the preview info! |Just had a look and tbh though nothing i really fancy. I tend to like the bright, fun stuff too, it was all a bit drab . Agree though that show stopper shift is not a good look! Fingers crossed that the rest of the collection will be better - or is that all there is? Am confused, do theuy withdraw the current season then or just add the new preview stuff to it?

Abra - Hopefully it will be ok then! I ordered the tunic in an 8 and am an 8-10 so hoping it will fit. I still have 5lb to drop though (have lost 2 stone 5lb since dd3 was born 6 months ago) so it will be better size after that goes i am sure!
