Need a Formal/Cocktail dress

Sis in Law's wedding coming up, dress code is formal, long evening dress or cocktail dress. Would prefer a long one to be honest, it's going to be a posh but fun do.
I live overseas and have 5 days in London to scour the shops before the big day 1st October.
I am 5' 6", size 8/10 UK, flat chested, flat tum, average bum. Normally pale but have a sort of tan just now! Not keen on pastels, yellow or green.
Not too worried about budget but not in the realms of couture.
I really need a personal shopper but can you help???? Need inspiration as the shops here are crap not that good.

Oh, I am 40 and hair is copper with blonde highlights sleek chin length bob. Is all this TMI?
