It is for an important work event. VVVVIP with 1000+ clients.

Its an evening do, food and entertainment, not balck tie. I am working so can't be too sexy but would like to look nice.

Any ideas?

Thanks smile

VVVVIP! Who is going to be there then?

DrNortherner Wed 16-Sep-09 17:59:38

Boobs 34B
Think black/grey would be best, quite sobre as work do.
Size 10.

NoahDear Wed 16-Sep-09 18:22:36

LetThemEatCake Wed 16-Sep-09 18:29:52

my-wardrobe my affordable than netaporter yet still glam and fab

nice sleeve detail

looks scarily short but she probably has a good 6 inches on you

BobtheWoodmouse Wed 16-Sep-09 20:17:18

metallic plum colour - demure but sleeveless

safe black option with short sleeves

fabulous colour but a bit too sexy from behind?

another safe black option

dark red shift dress - 70% off

all above from Lots more there.

Just got this in Reiss - bit disappointing online but looks fab on. Also comes in purple. Have teamed it with some dairy-milk coloured satin platforms here though you could wear funkier with that dress.

Romanarama Wed 16-Sep-09 20:56:45

That Zac Posen one is fabulous.

BobtheWoodmouse Wed 16-Sep-09 22:26:56

It is isn't it, Romanarama, thanks.

In my fantasy life, this would be my choice, that and unlimited budget and toned arms grin

Zak Posen dress

Noah dear wink hello my friend!

Yes I have. I have not got round to stting up a new one at home, and I've changed jobs. I am committing the cardinal sin of using dh's so email me at:

Be great to hear from you mate xx

DrNortherner Thu 17-Sep-09 19:27:15

OK, I've had a recap. Here are my findings, hope I don't sound blunt but no point beating around the bush is there? grin

Really dislike the Yarni one and tehy whistles one.

Yuk to paul and jo sister one, Burberry one better but £££££££££ I'm no made o money, no siree!! In fact bobthewoodmouse - they are all out of my price range I'm afraid <sob>

My waist is my best bit and I have a flat tum so I can get away with something more fitted and less flappy. Think more pencil skirt type thing.

£100 max. That's alot for moi.

Thanks guys.

I hear Debenhams has great sale on so will check it out tommorrow.

This is £29 or £32 depending. It looks v good with a funky, skinny belt and all the emphasis is on the waist. Length on me is just to the knee, with the belt, but I am about 5ft 9.
