DD and I have both been poorly this weekend - me with a stinking cold and DD with a vomitting bug.
She's fine now and has been for 36 hours, but because of the 48-hour exclusion rule she couldn't go to nursery or music group today, so I decided to get some face paints to cheer her up. I even came on MN to find out which were the best ones to get, as I didn't want crappy ones that would stain or hurt her delicate little face.
I lovingly painted her face as a rabbit (not a bad attempt for my first go, if I do say so myself) and then she painted me as a "monster rabbit", which quite frankly made me look like road-kill, but hey-ho, anything to cheer her up.
After half an hour she is bored of being a rabbit and wants to take it off so out come the babywipes and we sit giggling in front of a mirror together, removing out respective rabbits.
DD's comes off no problem but mine, oh no. I have an orange nose! Seriously, I look like I've dipped it in a bottle of fake tan.
I guess my style and beauty tip is not to ever, ever, ever let anyone - not anyone - put red face paint on a nose that you have spent 96 hours blowing and has skin as dry as the sahara. Plus it's started to peel.
If exfoliation doesn't work to remove the colour, am I going to have to amputate?
On the upside - DD thinks it is hilarious that I have an orange nose.
