yes here it is, our house.
it's rather plain as you can see....

i would like to add a bit of life and colour to it.

the walls need something

esp the wall above the table

i dont know how to do the living room as it;s a funny shape and has the stairs in it

one colour i would like to use is green.
and i was thinking either lime green and cerise, although i might get sick with cerise

or greens and browns

i'vename changed as i don't really fancy people knowing me in rl, although they might recognise my house.
so if you know me out don't out me.
thanks

suppose what i want to do is add a bit of life and colour with rugs cushions things on the walls vases etc

although i am open to painting a colour on one or all of the walls too.

Can't see your profile-is that because you've name changed?

Yes if you namechange you have to make your profile visible again manually.

THIS WILL DELETE ANY OLD PROFILE YOU HAVE.

can you see it now?

Like you mentioned, soft furnishings are the way to go. Curtains, rugs, pillows, picture, mirrors etc.

The current colours are quite muted so it seems most colours can be added quite easily.

Looking in magazines and catalogue's (Next, John Lewis etc) are good for inspiration.

Yes! Your house is lovely! If you do not like clutter leave it as it is otherwise you could hang some colourfull pictures?

the only colours at the moment are whitey/cream and light wood.

the onlt things with a colour is the cushions, and i don't mind changing them

theres a big rhino tub next to the soft with toys in it, and my toddlers rocking horse is down here rather than in her room as it gets used a fair bit.
but i would like some smarter storage

It's very nice.
I can't bear clutter and untidiness so it's right up my street.Needs nothing more than some pictures and/or big mirrors to bounce some light around even more.
A great rug.
That's it basically.
The more you have the more there is to dust and clean and grow bored with.

And you have my beloved Antelop high chair!
Re storage, I'd go for a big old wicker rectangular shaped laundry style basket for toys.
You could have some thick modular shelves built too (or buy some).

thing is i have no idea what to put on the walls, if im after statement pictures or artwork.

in the kitchen, i think thats fairly easy as above the table i could use either one large picture or 3 medium ones

but the living room is a difficult spaces as its quite an odd shape.
the longest wall is the one with the larger sofa and i have no idea how many pictures to put up on that wall

If in doubt, a really great mirror does it. Don't puit pictures up unless you love them

What would be your budget for art/mirror type things?

thanks very much.
very nice of you to take the time to link that for me.

i'm a bit suprised some people think it's ok.
as i've been feeling its a bit of a dull cream box.
maybe it just needs tweeking

i have seen some nice lime chairs i like, i will try and find a link.
but i don't know if there a bit too modern.
as our house is sort of modern but not exactley ultra modern.

i'll just try and find a link
back in a mo
