Calling all fat shortarses. Where do you get your jeans?

I'm a 5' 2" with short legs and a size 20 and I need bootleg jeans, at least mid rise, preferably high rise. Pair from Next came today which were a really nice fit but they're are too long and their petite range doesn't go up to my size. Even when there are petite sizes they are usually cut a bit smaller anyway. I loved the Hula jeans but New Look don't seem to have any more 28" ones in.

Help me. I live in slouch jeans and want something a tiny bit more fitted for a change.

TIA

I'm wearing the £12 bootleg jeans from M&S as recommended on here, always have to take them up a bit tho

Five foot and size 20 too

yep, the ones I'm wearing most are the ones polly linked to - worth getting a size down from normal cos they have a bit of stretch to them

I sound a rather similar shape and I wear Rocha by John Rocher jeans from Debenhams. They are good quality and the short leg length goes up to a size 22.

Matalan do them in lengths 27", 28" and 29". I've got some in dark blue denim in an 18 and they fit really well.

New Look - they do 28, 30 & 32 length. I'm 5ft, and I have the 28" for wearing with flats and the 30" for wearing with wedges.

And they're really cheap - about a tenner, I think.

Another couple of votes for John Rocha (about £40 but good jeans) and New Look inspire range.

Right, have got my list now of jeans to check out M&S sold out of all sizes except 12 from what I could see. Thanks all. Would be nice to have some jeans that don't drag in the mud...

Depending on your leg length (I'm 5'2" but seem to have ridiculously short legs), Dotty P are also worth a try. I can only wear them with high heels but they have a good selection of styles.

Same here. The New Look 28" Hula jeans were the first pair I ever owned that were the correct length. Every other pair I have ever had end up frayed and grubby.

The New Look Hula jeans have been renamed Bootcut jeans in the new Yes Yes range. I absolutely love them and have just bought 2 black and 1 navy pair after getting the first one! The 28 leg is a good length for me, I am 5'1. Nice light fabric too.

I got my first pair of proper length jeans last month from Matalan for £10, they wash great, really comfy and like others say come in various lengths.

I am 5'3 and got a 28 inch leg.

You need to buy a sewing machine!

Solved all my problems. I'm in between a reg and petite so always have to take my trousers and jeans up a bit.

Jeans are so difficult to get right, at least then you only have to worry about the fit, not the length.

Just to report back, I did order some jeans from New Look and they are indeed the Yes Yes range. 28", hurrah! I also got a pair of shortarsed jeans from Evans which are a bit too loose round the bum but good length.

And now, with all these pairs of new jeans, I've started Weight Watchers and hopefully will have to buy smaller ones...
