Do they still sell it or not? Makes it easier if they do probably. I would take it in and see what they say.

do you have the reciept? if not how did you pay, if by card see if you can dig the statement out and take that with you. they will be more likely to help if you have some sort of proof of purchase.

Warning: RI are not awfully good at replacing bags where the "embellishments" (for such is how they term their metal-work) come asunder.

I tried to return a bag where the metalwork had broken AFTER A WEEK that I could not expect a replacement because that was normal wear and tear.

You might do better going into a shop and negotiating a replacement face-to-face with a store manager.

Good luck.

If I were you I wouldnt use my receipt as if its faulty you dont need one. If its nearly a year old they might say thats reasonable wear and tear. I know its a bit dishonest but I'd make out it was more recent than that.

I tried to get a replacement for some shoes after a couple of months as one tore IN HALF when I tripped going down a curb. It wasn't like the heel just came off - the whole shoe, sole, leather and all, came apart.

They told me to bugger off, basically. Said it was wear and tear and that after 2 months I couldn't expect new for old.
