do you put on things that match and are clean or do you 'work a look'?

Match and clean.

I occasionally attempt "a look", but rarely.

Today I am sporting the bump hanging out the bottom of every top I own look.... It is hideous

I'm not just working a look today, I'm positively rocking it

i feel like a nob when i attempt 'looks' i used to be more adventurous.

today i am working the 'got up at 6.30 and made it to work at 7.30' look

So Cybil, what is your look?

I like to think I have a look. But that depends on how I am feeling on the day.

I can rock the "Top Shop look" in a confident way on a given day but then want a more grown up look on another (so I pull on something from Boden or Toast).

And then there are the "can't be chuffed" days when I rock the skinnies and oversized sweater look .

I have finally got the hang of making sure something I buy goes with at least 3 other things in my wardrobe so that I am not constantly searching stores for "something to with". Also reduces the amount of unworn stuff in the wardrobe.

Like Fishie, I also match jewellery and make up to the outfit too.

My look is too eclectic, too undefinable to be contained by mere words on a page

Match and clean. Eyeliner chosen to work with colour of clothes like fishie said.

Sometimes I try a 'look' - on Tuesday I was wearing leggings and pretending to be a young person.

Match and clean, used to do the latest trends but Maternity wear is far from fashionable, unless you want to spend a fortune, well I want to but can't...

So have several tops all of which go with my black or grey trousers (for work or slightly smarter than walking to the viallge look) or my lovely comfy maternity jeans.

Was most impressed I managed to get everything to match everything else, so I just grab what is clean and put it on and don't have to worry about if it goes.

Can't wait to get back to my prepregnancy weight (Well I can live in hope that I will)

I mainly opt for the "clean and matching" look. I am 19 weeks pg but look more or less full term.

you are working the 'full term' look

'match and clean' here, and that's on a good day I'd love to have a look but am terminally shite at shopping and dressing. These days I feel like a winner if I'm wearing a top that doesn't ride up over my gut all the time.

Having said that, every so often I manage a good look for going out - last one was wiggle dress and pirate-themed heels, with flicky eyeliner and loads of red lipstick. It just doesn't seem worth it when my 1yo likes to eat porridge with his hands and then smear it all over me.
